About this card
For the friend whose birthday you didn’t forget so much as arrived on sloth time, this belated birthday card sends a warm, slightly sheepish smile. The cartoon sloth on the cover is mid-wrap, gently taping a polka-dot box amid rolls of floral and striped paper, a coil of twine and scissors nearby — a cozy little scene that says “thoughtful” even if the timing’s off.

The palette of soft golds, teal and coral gives the image a sunny, lived-in feel, like a cheerful craft table bathed in afternoon light. Little details — the framed blossom on the wall, the potted plant by the window showing a bright sun — make the moment feel calm and affectionate rather than frantic. It’s an easygoing, sweet way to tell someone you’re still glad they exist, and that when you finally get there, the hug (and the wrapping) will be worth the wait.
