About this card
For a colleague or friend stepping away from the rhythm of work, this card marks retirement with calm assurance. The scene shows a weathered wooden pier stretching into a glassy lake at sunset, a single fishing rod leaning against a post as the sun spills gold across distant pines and misty hills—a quiet invitation to slower mornings and ordinary pleasures finally taken at leisure.

Rendered in a gentle, painterly palette of warm ochres and soft greens, the artwork carries the hush of late afternoon: water lilies float near the dock, a coiled rope rests on the post, and a few birds trace the sky. It’s an image that celebrates the small freedoms retirement brings, the time to sit, breathe, and watch the light change without hurry.
