About this card
For a friend who finds joy in the small, silly moments of the season, this Christmas card captures that exact kind of charm. The front shows a wide-eyed black-and-white cat holding a red ornament, surrounded by a toppled tree, scattered baubles, candy canes and a fallen spool of ribbon — the caption above reads it was like this when I got here, which makes it a playful, knowing note to send after a holiday mishap or just to celebrate shared laughter.

Rendered in warm, nostalgic tones and soft, cartoonish lines, the scene feels like a cozy storybook page: rosy-cheeked fur, tiny stars drifting in the background, and a garlanded border that tucks the whole moment in like a memory. It’s whimsical rather than scolding, the kind of card that says “we’ll laugh about this later” while giving a squeeze of affection to the friend who makes every messy holiday feel a little more like home.
