About this card
This birthday card is for a dear friend or family member turning 40 who’s surrounded by warm company and easy joy. The front shows a smiling man lifted on a wooden chair by six cheerful people as he raises a glass, a lit cake on a nearby table, and simple homey plants and wall hangings that make the scene feel like a small, intimate celebration. It’s the kind of card you’d choose to mark a milestone with affection rather than fanfare.

The calm, muted palette and soft, textured illustration give the image a cozy, lived-in feel: rounded faces, gentle smiles, and relaxed clothes suggest comfort and long friendships. The mood reads as heartfelt and slightly nostalgic, a quiet cheer for someone who makes life lighter — the same sentiment echoed inside.
