About this card
This birthday card is for a friend who loves a good laugh and doesn't take themselves too seriously — someone you'd send to celebrate their warm, mischievous spirit. The front shows a squishy pug in a polka-dot party hat and heart-patterned bandana, mid-lick as it devours a partly eaten pink-frosted cake with sprinkles and a single candle, so the moment reads equal parts sweet and silly.

The palette is warm rose and cream, with watercolor textures, floral borders and a gingham tablecloth that make the scene feel cozy and hand-painted. Little details — crumbs on the pug's snout, confetti dots, and a tiny wrapped gift at the corner — give it the delighted, homey mood of a small, joy-filled celebration.
