How to make your own greeting card

  1. Say who it's for

    Tell us the occasion and a little about the person, like “my sister’s 40th, she loves her garden and her cat.” You can start from a photo instead.

  2. We draw it and write the inside

    In about half a minute you get an original picture made for that person and a message written for them. Draw it again, change the style, or rewrite the words until it sounds like you.

  3. Send it your way

    As an eCard for $1.99, printed and mailed for $9.99 with free US shipping, or as a group card everyone signs online for $7.98.

What you get with a printed card

  • A folded card about 4.7 × 7 inches on Red River Aurora paper, with your message printed inside.
  • A purple envelope, mailed to you or straight to the person it’s for.
  • We print and mail it the next business day. Standard US mail is free and takes 2–5 business days; Priority takes 1–3 business days for $10.99.
  • Outside the US it goes by international mail for $3.99, usually 1–3 weeks.
  • Add the eCard reveal for $1.99: a code on the back opens your voice message, photo or song online.

How much does it cost to make and mail a custom card?

Making the design is free: 2 designs without an account, and 5 a month with a free one. Sending it costs $1.99 as an eCard, or $9.99 printed and mailed with free standard shipping in the US.

Can I write my own message?

Yes. Every card comes with a message written for the person, and you can change every word before you send it, or leave the inside blank. Get ideas for what to write

Can I use my own photo?

Yes. Upload a photo and it’s redrawn as a card in the style you pick.

Is there anything you won’t draw?

A few things: other people’s characters and brands, famous faces, and anyone getting hurt. See what we can draw

Can you mail the card straight to the person?

Yes. Give us their address when you order and we mail it to them in a purple envelope, or to you if you’d rather hand it over.

How long does a printed card take to arrive?

We print and mail it the next business day. Standard mail takes 2–5 business days in the US and Priority 1–3 business days. You can also pick the day it should arrive, and we mail it in time.

Can a group of people sign it?

Yes. Make it a group card and share one link: everyone adds a note, a photo or a voice message, no account needed. A group eCard is $7.98.
